'3 Bicchieri' for our Pinot Nero Riserva 'Abtei Muri' 2015
We are pleased that Gambero Rosso has awarded our Alto Adige Pinot Nero Riserva 'Abtei Muri' DOC 2015 with '3 Bicchieri' in its 2019 edition of the renowned wine guide 'Vini d´Italia'.
The grapes destined to become our Pinot Nero Riserva are cultivated at an altitude of 500 - 600 m in the monastery vineyards in Appiano Monte on an east-facing slope opening
south with excellent chalk gravel soils. The result are delicate and elegant wines that clearly show their origins.
The '3 Bicchieri' award is not only a confirmation of our work done during the last years but also a proof how the Appiano Monte site has established itself as terroir for growing Pinot Noir in Alto Adige.
